InnovationHub AFM and DNB

On 9 June 2016, the Minister of Finance informed the Dutch House of Representatives on the joint initiative of the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) to facilitate innovative companies in accessing the financial sector (link, in Dutch). The supervisory authorities have announced the release of a InnovationHub, where market parties can discuss regulation and policies relating to innovation in the financial sector. Furthermore, the possibility of a testing ground and alternative licensing regimes are being considered. AFM and DNB have released a discussion document to judge which changes in the supervisory regime are deemed welcome when it comes to sound innovation in the financial sector (link, in Dutch ). Market parties are given the opportunity to react to the proposals in this document until 1 September 2016 (link press release, in Dutch)
