Publication Mortgage Credit Directive

On 28 February 2014 the Mortgage Credit Directive (2014/17/EU) has been published in the Official Journal of the EU. The directive introduces new rules for providers of and intermediaries in mortgage credit. Important are the introduction of a standardized information sheet and the possibility for intermediaries to benefit from a passport regime which allows them to provide cross border services. The directive should be transposed into national law by March 2016. Credit providers and intermediaries need to comply with these new rules by then.
