Finnius congratulates Privalgo with EMI licence
Privalgo B.V. (Privalgo) has obtained a licence from DNB as electronic money institution (EMI) in accordance with the revised Electronic Money Directive (EMD2) and the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) on August 1, 2025.
Privalgo offers a professional client-driven currency conversion service through the provision of e-money wallets housed on a scalable, proprietary, and bespoke system. These services are already provided to UK customers via Privalgo’s sister company Privalgo Ltd. Under its EMI licence Privalgo can enter the EU market and provide these services comprising the issuance of electronic money, payment account services and the execution of payment transactions. This represents a broad range of services and constitutes a significant milestone for Privalgo.
On behalf of Finnius, Casper Riekerk and Rens Budde were involved in Privalgo’s EMI licensing process. Finnius congratulates Privalgo on this remarkable milestone and wishes Privalgo every success in its continued service provision!
